What is Bachata?

Bachata is a popular Latin partner dance originating in the Dominican Republic. Traditionally connected to Dominican Bachata music, the dance has evolved internationally while maintaining its strong Dominican musical and cultural roots.

Today, dancers enjoy styles including Traditional Dominican Bachata, Bachata Moderna and Bachata Sensual, each offering different approaches to footwork, partner work, musicality and body movement.
